The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project will launch a series of videos for families and caregivers of youth with disabilities to ask specific questions from experts in the field. Each Ask the Expert video will focus on answering questions from parents and caregivers of people with disabilities and will be presented in an interview format in order to address questions about complex solutions in digestible increments for a non-medical expert audience.
Medical experts, therapists, occupational therapists, attorneys, and other expert consultants will offer answers to the questions provided from members in advance of each video release. Different topics may include subjects like the range of motion exercises, special needs trust, tools for physically disabled, and doctor recommendations for increased secretions.
The goals of the Ask the Expert videos are to:
- Enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities and their caregivers and families
- Provide support for families of children with disabilities within our local community and globally through our YouTube channel
- Encourage children with disabilities to be independent
- Help children with disabilities enhance gross and fine motor skills
