Incredible opportunity for parents of a child with special health care issues - a personalized song of love - check it out!

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support of me and The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project. Over the past 9+ years I have asked you many times over to support us in one way or another, and you have always done so. This time I am very humbled by the enormous response I received when I let you know about the PEOPLE/MLB All-Stars Among Us contest … the number of votes that were cast on my behalf was astounding … and those of you that so kindly shared your good luck wishes with me touched me to no end!

As you can see from the email below, I have had the privilege of being named one of the 30 winners in People Magazine and Major League Baseball’s All-Stars Among Us program (https://www.peopleallstars.com) for the Florida Marlins. I am humbled by the honor to be associated with so many deserving everyday all-stars, and I believe this is a great opportunity for The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project to reach out across the country and expand its mission of delivering support, resources and adaptive equipment to families with chronically ill, special-needs children.

What this means to me personally could never be expressed in mere words, but what this means for our organization is phenomenal!! The national exposure The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project (and Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease!) will receive when I appear on national television (FOX SPORTS will be airing the game live on July 14) during the pre-game day festivities with the winners from the other 29 teams is what I hope will turn out to be an opportunity of a lifetime for us to get additional funding and sponsors for future programs.

So, be sure to tune in to your local FOX SPORTS station on July 14, 2009 for the All-Stars game to see the on-field presentation of the winners of this contest – and remember, it could not have happened without your help, and I am ever so grateful to all of you for your support.

As I understand it there will be numerous activities during the 4 days I will be in St. Louis surrounding the All-Stars game, so I will be sure to post the details once I get them.

Lastly, a very special THANK YOU goes to my sister, Sharon, who nominated me for this in the first place! It was her originality that got the attention of the PEOPLE/MLB staff, and I am so very pleased that she will be attending this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with me.

Congratulations! You have won the PEOPLE and MLB “All-Stars Among Us” campaign for your club!

It’s a real tribute to you and the extraordinary work you do in your community. Nearly three quarters of a million people voted and we were extremely proud to showcase your work. An MLB representative will contact you shortly regarding travel to and from St. Louis for the All-Star festivities. They will also send you a packet containing an itinerary, schedule of events and contact list for the All-Star weekend. We will fly you and a guest to St. Louis on Sunday, July 12 and will fly you back on Wednesday, July 15.
