Morgan's Place - Multi-Sensory Wonderland Overview
Morgan’s Place is a fun place for those with or without special needs of any age or ability level to come and stimulate their senses in an environment that is uniquely created just for them. This very special place can be reserved on an individual basis or for small groups including school field trips and birthday parties. Designed as a gentle-use facility, we are not a drop-off center but rather a place for inclusive and cooperative activities for the individual that needs a sensory controlled environment and/or wheelchair accessibility.
In addition to our individual sessions for our special-needs population, we are now offering group classes that are sensory-based activities designed for all ages and all abilities! Our trained Facilitators will help our clients utilize our specialized equipment in a safe manner, and to ensure a fun session. We will also offer sensory social classes for specific ages, and specific interests in order to offer peer interaction and the opportunity for socialization.
Our individual sessions and our group classes are 50 minutes long, with advance pre-registration always required. As a charitable organization we only staff our facility when we have clients booked. Reservations are booked by calling the office at 321-506-2707 or online.

Our Morgan’s Place facility includes unique, wheelchair accessible, sensory-controlled indoor and outdoor areas, each with individualized multi-sensory Snoezelen-based protocols, equipment and activities:
The Sensorium
Snoezelen is a combination of two Dutch verbs: snuffelen (to seek out, sniff, or explore) and doezelen (to relax). Its concept was defined in the late 1970s by two Dutch therapists. While working at an institute in Holland, the two therapists learned of the positive responses a colleague elicited from a severely challenged client while exposed to a sensory environment he had assembled.
Our Sensorium is a “white room”, and is a wonderful environment, filled with sights, sounds, textures, and aromas and used to stimulate, calm, relax, or energize. The blend of sights, sounds, textures, aromas, and motion provide stimulation of the primary sensory systems . This controlled environment has been designed within one room of our facility; the experience can be staged to provide a multi-sensory exposure or single-sensory focus by simple adaptation to one stimulus.
Moon Room
For a new twist on the multi-sensory experience we have a new space! Our Moon Room is a “black room”, and is also a wonderful multi-sensory environment, filled with sights, sounds, textures, and aromas and used to stimulate, calm, relax, or energize – all UV reactive under the backlights! Just like the Sensorium, the blend of sights, sounds, textures, aromas, and motion provide stimulation of the primary sensory systems and is within one room of our facility.
Both of our Sensoriums are designed to offer individuals with special needs and challenging conditions the opportunity to exercise choice through action. Reports on Snoezelen environments document accounts of users who have stopped self-abusive behavior; of people who have “seen” (become aware of the physical environment), spoken, or smiled for the first time in years; and of those who have showed unusual (for them) peace, happiness, and contentment.
Rainbow Room
We have created a Soft-Play Zone, for our special-needs children and young adults that are mobile and need a place that allows them to explore at their own ‘speed’. This area focuses on vestibular activities and creative expression. The room has rainbow themed art on the walls, as well as multi-sensory elements. Our various floating chairs offer a gentle swaying sensation, and our swing frame has 6 different options for swinging and spinning. Our climbing frame offers various ladders for agility, and the room also is equipped with a small trampoline, musical stepping stones, soft canoe, basketball hoops and more! And of course the padded floors allow expressive movement in a safe environment.
Technology Zone
Our Technology Zone has been expanded as well, and offers plenty of room for creative activities and our Augmentative Communication Center with iPads and switch activated toys! The floor has liquid gel tiles that move underneath your feet or wheels, the Legos light up, and our Logitow and Osmo stations can be accessed on your feet, sitting on a stool or from your own wheelchair.
Our most recent addition is our BEAM Interactive Floor loaded with over 30 games and effects. Simply walking over the projection, rolling over it in a wheelchair or using one of our unique wands will activate the programs, encouraging Parent and Child or Child and Siblings to play together.
Our Welcoming Lobby
The multi-sensory experience greets you as soon as you enter Morgan’s Place! With our LED bubble Palm Tree, heat sensitive panel and interactive traffic light, there is no doubt that this is a FUN place to be. This is also where you will learn if our Sensory dog, Buster is working that day!
In addition, a Snoezelen MSE often affords an opportunity for the participant and care-giver to improve communication, enhance their understanding of each other, and build trust in their relationship. We are a Brevard School Board approved vendor and we are now booking field trips!
Also available at Morgan’s Place is a private therapy room that can be reserved for a small hourly fee for individual sessions with your own therapists, tutors, support group meetings or exercise groups. If you are a therapist that would like to meet your own clients at Morgan’s Place, we can do that, too! Just call us at 321-506-2707 for details and pricing.
Garden Sensorium
We have created a beautiful outdoor Sensorium too, utilizing nature to stimulate our senses – along with sand & water play, sensory gardens, interactive stations and more! Additionally our newly rebuilt facility can now accommodate field trips and group sessions with a HUGE parking lot and a eat-in area in our LifeStyle Pavilion so you can bring your lunch with you! This is also home to our partnerships with Special Olympics and Soccer Shots, and where we hold homeschool arts & science modules, special events and birthday parties.
Our facility can be used individually or for small groups for whom a similar outcome is desired. It can be used therapeutically or as a leisure activity. Snoezelen has no formal focus on therapeutic outcome. The focus is instead on assisting users to gain maximum pleasure from the activity, that oftentimes provides a therapeutic result at the same time. Our facility is currently being offered on an advanced reservation basis ONLY. Please contact us for availability, pricing, and to reserve your time in this wonderful, one-of-a-kind, climate controlled, indoor/outdoor wonderland!
