Member of the Chamber of Commerce for Persons with Disabilities

Thanks for making the lives of children with disabilities a little bit better!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

7-15-08
The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project has implemented new application
guidelines and procedures for 2008.

S

Our organization (unlike many) is not disease-specific and has been lovingly created to support and assist families who are caring for their physically disabled child - regardless of what the underlying disease or disability is.

As much as we would like to assist all children with special needs, our organization's mission statement and programs are limited to special-needs children living in the family home, under the age of 18, and with life-time physical disabilities.

If your child does not meet our minimum criteria, perhaps one of the many resources The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project has in it's database will be able to provide the assistance that you need.  Please click on the RESOURCES link on the left to download this information.

Please check back often for updates to our resources!

Once your full application is received, it will be evaluated
by our Medical Advisory Committee based on
our corporate guidelines and available funding.
If we cannot meet your request, you will receive a letter explaining the decision.

QUESTIONS? Click Here

We regret that we are unable to discuss grant requests or questions by phone.

Documentation
All required documentation must be included with the grant application to be considered. Applications received without this documentation will not be accepted for consideration and subject to the 12-month waiting period. This includes denial letters from insurance and other funding organizations. Effective immediately we will no longer accept applications unless the documentation is included showing that you have applied for funding and been denied by: 1) your insurance company; 2) Medicaid; 3) other insurance; 4) diagnosis-specific granting organizations that your child qualifies for including CP, Autism, and other diagnosis-specific foundations that offer grants.  Because our funding is limited we are intended to be the "funding source of last resort" for those whose children do not have a diagnosis-specific funding opportunity or have a rare orphan disease.  Did you know that there are over a dozen organizations that offer funding to children diagnosed with autism??  See our resources for links to these and others before submitting your application to verify that your child does not qualify for funding from one of these other organizations.

Thank You Notes
We also request that you send a note of thanks explaining how the grant was helpful to you, as well as pictures of your family utilizing the support received.  These notes and pictures are very important for us to let the organization, sponsors and donors know how beneficial these funds are to families.

Medical Advisory Committee
All grant applications are submitted to our Medical Advisory Committee for review and approval.  Our committee members and their qualifications can be found here : MAC Members

THANK YOU!
